Our Team.

Steve is our founder and commercial director with many years experience in the specialist property and commercial lending markets working with a number of large financial institutions in his nearly 30 year career in financial services, with the last 20 years in brokerage across northern Europe and the UK.

Since founding Lakeland Commercial Finance and Lakeland Finance Steve has built up a reputation second to none as the go to person for commercial and specialist lending. Utilising his vast knowledge and experience within the industry and his long established relationships with lenders across the whole spectrum of commercial and real estate, customers call on his no nonsense approach to getting a deal done and over the line.

Neil is a highly dedicated professional with extensive experience in the commercial banking sector having worked in the industry for over 25 years. His background in finance and relationship banking has allowed him to support industries across the North West which include the real estate, manufacturing, retail, leisure & healthcare sectors.

Since joining Lakeland Commercial Finance in 2019, Neil has been integral in setting up the Lancashire hub of the business and has established key introducer and funder relationships to ensure all our clients receive the very best funding solutions and service.

Away from work Neil is a keen guitarist, playing lead axe man for several legendary rock outfits over the years…… and is also known to play the odd round of golf (fair to say he’s a better guitarist than golfer!)

Mark has worked within the banking sector for 41 years, mainly operating within the commercial arena with a number of high street banks, covering North Lancashire and South Lakeland.  Over the years Mark has supported many customers across all sectors of business including hospitality, leisure, manufacturing and real estate. During Marks career he has built strong and trusted relationships with customers and his professional network.

Outside of work Mark enjoys walking, cycling, paddle boarding and riding his motorbike. Additionally Mark loves his holidays, either skiing or sunbathing.

Jodie previously worked in recruitment for over 13 years as an office administrator and client account manager for local businesses and their staffing requirements in the Kendal area, before making the move into the financial sector.

Jodie joined Lakeland Commercial Finance in September 2020, working alongside Steve in the Kendal office as the operations manager. From this base Jodie will oversee and manage the regional offices.

Outside of work Jodie enjoys spending time with her family, walking her German shepherd  and watching MotoGP.

Martin has worked in banking in the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area for over 30 years as a Business Manager with a focus on commercial lending and helping his customers achieve their goals. He has also been a Financial Planner arranging pensions and investments for clients. He has an extensive knowledge of the Financial Services Industry having worked in the sector since leaving school.

Martin joined Lakeland Commercial Finance in June 2022 as an administrator and business development manager, helping client cases progress as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Outside work Martin is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys running, walking in the Lakeland Fells and has also been know to climb, camp and canoe for fun. In quieter times Martin enjoys reading and spending time with family.
